GLAMORGAN CRICKET IS BOWLED OVER BY GPRS PAYMENTS
Throughout the 1st npower Ashes Test match in Cardiff, Glamorgan Cricket used GPRS Card Payment Terminals to process their payments. Finance Controller Peter Ghattas explains their success;
“The SWALEC Stadium is a fantastic, modern stadium, and we wanted a card payment solution that delivered on payments and fitted in with the modern, new surroundings of the Stadium. The GPRS Payment Terminals from 123 Send have delivered on these aspects and more.
To ensure that we continue to provide an extremely efficient service on busy match days, we have a number of terminals fitted throughout the stadium. Each terminal provides us with the mobility and speed necessary to maintain our high standards
A great aspect of 123 Send’s solution is the flexibility that GPRS provides – we don’t have to worry about installing new telephone lines throughout the stadium and hospitality areas/boxes, and it also means we can easily move terminals to busier areas.
Glamorgan Cricket also regularly benefit from 123’s Short Term Hire service:
“At big events like last year’s 1st nPower Ashes Test Match, as well as International Matches during 2010 and onwards, we required several additional card payment terminals to cope with the volume of people coming into the Stadium to purchase tickets and goods. The ability to hire additional terminals from 123 Send for our larger international events is an extremely effective service, once the game has finished we can simply hand them back – it’s simple and cost effective.”
